(More customer reviews)I purchased this for my son to begin violin lessons. When it arrived, it was not set up. If you don't know how to set it up yourself, it can cost around $80 to have a pro do it for you. My sons violin teacher kept it for a week trying to get it tuned. He couldn't do it. He said that once he gets 3 strings tuned in, then the 4th goes out. He hated to admit it to me, but he said that it was just a poor quality violin.
He recommended a Suzuki beginners violin. I returned my Cecilio and got a Suzuki. Wow! What a difference! It arrived set up, and tuned. The quality was obvious. My sons teacher was very pleased! Check out the Suzuki's!
