I'm not an expert on violins but I do know you can get it in tune, keep it in tune, and play it as you would expect of any violin. I suspect for solo or professional use you are going to want something else.
I recommend this instrument to persons who think they might be interested in the violin, but are not ready to invest in a professional quality piece just yet.
