(More customer reviews)This is my first violin purchase. My 10-yr old daughter has begun lessons and she is making out very well with this lovely little violin. The pegs needed a little "tweaking" but this was simply accomplished by the violin teacher. The beauty of it is very nice, especially for one so reasonably priced. For my part, I think that the wood chin rest vs. the black is stunning.
